It’s the daughter’s first ever involvement in her school concert. It’s also my first experience to witness my own child participation. So you can imagine how excited I was and how proud I was to see her on stage and making those dance moves! The father had just returned from his night shift and sacrificed his rest all for the sake of his only daughter.
The theme is Living In Harmony in conjunction with Racial Harmony Day. The nursery dressed in Chinese costumes, the kindergarten 1 in Malay outfits and the kindergarten 2 in Indian attires.
Lesson learnt from this performances, is for the children to overcome stage fright and be confident in front of a crowd. I could see the happy faces of all the children and all of them performed extremely well. I’m amazed how these 4-6 years old girls and boys able to put such a fantastic performance. They sway, shake, portray with full of feelings and most importantly with great poise.
The parents weren’t spare either and were asked to join in some of the participation. The parents had a good laugh when watching the videos of behind the scene of the preparing of each of the dances. I must say it’s quite a challenge for the teachers to get the children to blend together and come up with sequence steps. At the end, it’s a job well done for those who make it happen!
