Our first ever family road trip. Feelings mixed with excitement and anxiety. With 4 young kids in tow, thinking how do they cope on the long car ride. We gave them the freewill to bring anything and they packed a bag each of their stuff.
We didn’t actually set a target on what time to leave since the husband got home from his 2am shift and the check in time for the first accommodation was at 4pm. So on 23 June, we drove across the border and it took us only an hour from the time we leave our carpark until we pumped petrol at Johor. We only made 1 pitstop to have toilet break, lunch, let the kids play at the playground and some baskin robbins. Then continued to drive all the way to Negeri Sembilan. We did lost our way, rounding around Port Dickson and in end we asked the locals for direction. Eventually we found Grand Lexis and all filled with happiness. The check in procedure was smooth and the staff were nice, helped us with our luggage and sent us to our villa by buggy. Our room was premium pool and the kids were ecstatic when they entered the villa. The villa was large with 2 king size beds, plunge pool, kitchenette and spacious toilet compound. Without wasting any time, we changed to our swimwear and jumped into our very own private pool. After some splashing, we got dressed and drove out to have dinner. We had cheap seafood somewhere near our destination. Then back to our villa, to relax before the kids decided to have a night deep. Even though the water was so cold, the kids were having a great time. I joined them and created some challenging games. The atmosphere were filled with cheers and laughter, on the other hand, the husband aka the driver was lazing on the bed, watching the local channels. There are quite a number of facilities in Grand Lexis but we just want to spend the time in our villa. In fact we didn’t actually venture much around the area. The next morning, we at our breakfast at its restaurant. Quite a range of choices and breakfast was good. Back again in the villa for our last round in the pool before checking out to our next destination.
