Alhamdulillah, Adriana’s 5th birthday party went according to plan. The theme, the food, the decorations and the space were prefect. I’m sincerely touched by the guests presence despite it’s a weekday and the intermittent rain. The respond was overwhelmed and I felt awful that I didn’t manage to mingle with each and everyone. Everything went well until it’s started to pour. It was on and off and I didn’t want to take the risk therefore my eldest sister and her husband rushed to buy a canopy. We had prawns, hotdogs, stingrays, otah, squid and satay to be barbequed so we wouldn’t want them to be wastage. As this is our first BBQ experience, there was some shortage. Thankfully for hubby’s 3 male cousins, who went to buy additional charcoal and fire starters. Once again, blessed my eldest and her husband for rushing out to get more ice cubes. My mum, who was the main chef, had cooked additional menu, which caused a slight delay in the arrival of the food. Phew, we managed to overcome the obstacles and the party was back on track! A big thank you to my 2 sisters for all the help and energy and my brother in law for making multiple trips and carrying the stuff. I am grateful with my mum and mother in law with the food and add ons.
I simply love the large compound at Aloha Loyang Resort. The kids love their 3 days staycation. What’s more, the swimming pool is in front and the jacuzzi was directly in front of our 'house'. Even the husband is grinning that his car has its own space and shelter. Just as we checked in, the kids wasted no time, got changed and jumped into the pool. We ordered Pizza Hut and dinner was courtesy from Popeye by Azim and Timah. They helped out with the decorations and stayed till late at night even thought Azim had a morning flight the next day and Timah was from work. The following day, the kids were willing to wake up early just to hit the pool again. The rest of the day, the kids kept themselves busy with the wide space while the adults were busy with the preparations. We were glad that they kids truly enjoyed themselves and insya allah we will be back again, probably with longer duration.
