Alhamdulillah, the birthday celebration went well. Amazingly, Aqil was at his best and was elated by the turnout. I really thanked to the family members for their time and especially to the 2 grandmothers who whipped up the delicious spread in the form of seafood fried rice, kangkong,chilli crab, chilli prawn,sweet sour fish, lemon chicken, fried squid and black pepper beef. I always emphasize my gratitude to the family members because some of them are working on shift.
Aqil loves to watch Handy Manny over at Disney Playhouse. He has his own tool set and even imitates the character. Therefore I didn’t take long to decide on his birthday image. Surfed for the images and the cake is beautifully made by a nice lady. Thanks to ntuc home proud, I managed to grab the green plates, spoons, cups and napkins. So, Handy Manny and color Green is the theme. We blew up the balloons and put up the decorations the night before. We choose to have the celebration at night and during the day we were busy running around. We collected the helium balloons and birthday cake. We bought donuts and collect the food from the parents/in laws houses so that we can set the table before their arrival.
The birthday boy gave a sweet and shy smile when we sang the birthday song to him. With his cheeky behavior, I was worried if he could cooperative to blow the candles and cut the cake. I’m glad he did well and enjoying himself. Such a coincidence that most of his presents are remote control cars! I conclude that at the age of 2, he has shown passion of soccer and confirm that he is a left handed. He even had learnt to say out his full name and age when being asked.
Once again, happy 2nd birthday my son! Please mellow down on your activeness and mischievous!
