MOTHERLY DUTY

On the last day of my self declared break, I took the elders 2 for a ride. The twins were sent to the parents’ in law the night before and the man was on morning shift the next day. It was suppose to be a car ride but the man was late and drove the car. He reached 2 hours after his reporting time so you could see how late he was!

The day was scheduled for Aqil’s 18 months jab, his final vaccine. All these while when bringing the kids for their monthly jab, it will be either be both of us together or just him alone with them. I was thinking if he can manage to bring them on his own, why can't I. Also, it's always been him holding on the kids during the process. We took a bus to our family doctor, back to my old neighborhood. We did his assessment and received a certificate for his completion vaccines. He weighs 11.2kg and stands at 80cm. He has progressed very well and his speech has been improved. His appetite is good and he is such an active boy. He is rather an automatic boy; like having his own timetable. He will be the first to bathe because he can’t stand the heavy diaper on him. He will straight head to the bathroom and put his clothes in the laundry basket. No matter where we are, when it’s time for his nap, he will just doze off. The easy part of him, he will eat anything, not a fussy eater. We dropped by over to my parents’ where we had lunch and boy had his nap. I volunteered to fetch the nephew from school while killing the time. In the late afternoon, we left and took a train ride to the airport. The kids behaved well and remained seated. While waiting for the man to knock off, the kids were enjoying themselves running round at the open compound. There were no hiccup up and thankfully they were at their best behavior. I really enjoyed bring the 2 of them out on my own and in fact I am looking forward for more!
