GEARING UP

I am thankful that the twins are still in me at 34 weeks. I’m more than grateful over the protection from HIM. I am trying to keep them in me as long as possible and to enjoy the final weeks of pregnancy. I don’t care what my weight is now and how much I put on. All I want for my babies to put on as much weight as they can and to be in good health.

The gynae commented on how well at this stage I’m still hanging on with the twins. Only HE knows what I’m going thru now; breathless, giddiness, aching, numbness, fatigue and finding the comfortable position to sleep. I’m relieved that the twins are doing so well and they have reached the passing weight. The left twin weighs 2.4kg while the right twin weighs 1.95kg and he still needs to buck up a little. He might be bullied by the other and ate lesser. Let’s see how the progress in 2 weeks time and high possibility they will be March babies instead!

It’s just a matter of time that the blue room will be occupied by 3 boys. The toys looked more organized now in their new compartment. The twin’s clothes had been washed and ironed. It took me quite some time to arrange the twins’ belongings in the new chest drawers. The graco playpen had been set up in our room and the hospital bags were packed, one for the babies and the other for the mother. We had even bought 2 packs of huggies newborn and 4 pack of drypers newborn.

I guess we have done enough purchases for the preparation. We have tried to recycle as much stuff as possible. As a result, we will still be using our combi and maclaren strollers and rely on the unutilize baby bjorn carrier and peanut shell sling. I also decided to stick to the manual avent breastpump and forget the idea of getting the electric ones. Due to space constraint, I will be counting on to only one maxi cosi infant car seat and the other will be in my arms. I can safely say we are more of less ready.
