Dream does come true. After 21 years of waiting. We took Virgin Train from London Euston railway station and reached Manchester Piccadilly train station. It was about 2 hours journey and I was one happy lady when we reached Manchester. Our hotel was just next door and got to check in to Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Manchester Piccadilly promptly. Lovely hotel with free wifi and iMac in the room. We wasted no time after dumping our luggage in the room and roamed the area. We were within the shopping paradise and took about 20 minutes to walk to hard rock. After that we went back to the hotel to rest before heading to the main highlight of our trip. In the early evening, we took the tram to get to Old Trafford. I was so excited as we walked towards the stadium. I was mesmerized and can’t believe that I was actually there. I kept telling my other half to snap my photo here and there. When we were in the stadium and seated, I kept saying, oh my god! oh my god! Best of all, when the announcer called out the first team names, I was jumping with joy when mentioning number 11. It was the perfect match for us. The wife’s team against husband’s team. He couldn’t cheer for his team but he had the last laugh. Despite the lost, I was over the moon because Ryan Giggs played until full time.
The next day, after breakfast, we made our way to the stadium again. This time for the museum and stadium tour. Another day of happiness for me. Really had a blast time snapping away and shopped hard at the mega store. After that we checked out and took the train back to London in the evening to catch the flight back home. Wished we had extended our stay in Manchester because we really want to explore the city. No doubt we will make a return and that will be adding on for my other half to visit Everton. Manchester United fans will know exactly how I felt when I was there. Thank you dearest husband for fulfilling my wish.
