BATAM HARRIS WATERFRONT RESORT 2013

While my partner was all excited for the getaway, I was pretty nervous for our first family trip. Furthermore it’s the kids first ferry ride and managing them on our own would be a challenge. The boys were curious and looking out from the window to have a seaview while the girl was experience seasick. We boarded Sindo Ferry from Harbourfront Center and alighted at Waterfront Terminal.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the land transfer complimentary from Harris Resort. After checking in, we made our way to Puti Bungsu for lunch as we were all very hungry. The nasi padang spread with 15 dishes were delicious. After filling our tummies, we went back to our resort, collected the access card and went in to our room. We love our family room very much and the pool was smack right in front of our balcony! The room was spacious and we have our own chillax corner! We spent the rest of the day in the pool where the kids had rolling good time. After that we had our dinner by the pool at H-Grill where the kids got to dine for free.

The next day we woke up at our own sweet time and we had breakfast at Harris Café. After which, we let the kids to play at Dino Kids Club. Then we proceed to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall, where we had lunch at A&W and shopped a bit. From there we went to Batam Layers Cake where I bought 4 boxes of fresh made kek lapis. Then we had our early dinner at Golden Prawn for live seafood. Lobster, crab, fish, prawn and cockles were cheap and awesome! We stopped for some keropok shopping before going back to our resort. We lazed at our chillax corner, enjoying the party and live entertainment at the pool area before calling the night off.

On our last day, there was quite a crowd at Harris Café for breakfast. The staff was kind enough to allow us to have our breakfast at D’bar Café which was meant for the homestay. We let the kids have their finally swim before we packed up and got ready to check out.

Harris Resort is indeed a family friendly resort and it’s been a great stay. The staff are bunch of fun loving people and they have been extremely helpful. You can sense the sincerity and positive hospitality from them. Overall, it was an enjoyable and successful 3 days trip for us.
