The eldest son 4th birthday and his first ever party went well. Thanks to my beloved mother who did the cooking and my elder sister who helped with the frying and contributed some food. Eldest sister was unwell but she did turn up and helped out with the cleaning up at night. Most importantly is the birthday boy was a very happy and had fun on that day.
A little glitch in the preparation of the party that made me postpone to the following week. There was a delay in the shipment of the party stuff and the boys’ outfits. Most of the spread were self made. My mother and elder sister made 2 desserts each. I contributed on my own created recipe muffin and brownies. The main highlight was of my self created candy buffet. It was my first attempt and I was very pleased with the outcome. I ordered 4 types of pastries from my usual contact, Lovingal Deli. The hot favorite was the mini otah that I ordered from Scarfinista de Square. It was my first order and it was so delicious. I was thinking hard on what to give to the kids since we had candy buffet. Since I was ordering the balloons for decoration from my another usual contact ,Lyna Babyterror, why not I treat the kids with balloons for them to take home as well. Sequentially for us to mingle with everyone and smooth traffic, there were 2 sessions, the early part of the day was for friends and the later part for families. I love such event whereby all the kids played together, friends gathered around, family bonding and catching up with relatives. Thank you to the guests that came and made this happened. I really appreciate your kind presence and all the generous gifts. At the age of 4 years, Aqil has officially weaned off bottle and diaper.
