Strange but true, both of us were controlling our tears witnessing Aqil on the first day of his orientation. He is after all our first son, our much anticipating baby. The boy who completes the family, the baby who became a brother at the exact age of 13 months. Therefore we feel he still needs all the love and attention as much as his younger siblings. As I mentioned before, each of our kid has a special place in our heart.
He smiled, he gave a thumb up, he listened, he participated, and he ate and played with his classmates. The positive respond he gave on the first day made us feel he will ready for school. At the same time, I am proud of Adriana playing a major role in his education journey. He actually listened to her words of wisdom. On the second day, he was a little reserved just because he found out the father had to leave half way for Friday prayers. Just as he picked up the pace, I left him with his teacher and classmates. It’s still early for us to judge that he has adapted to this whole new experience. Nevertheless, this is the start of his education and more exposure.
