END OF RAMADHAN 1432H

Ramadhan is ending real soon. This year makes me realise so many things. To be content with what I possess and learn true friendship. It opens up my heart and eyes.

We didn’t spend so much as much as last year, trying to recycle as many as we can. Last year our home theme was brown and this year will be grey. It’s not that I decorate everything in grey, just matched the curtains with the carpets and our bedroom bed sheet with our room curtains. The little perk of this year celebration, I didn’t buy any delicacies and instead I baked all and in total 8 to be exact. Oatmeal Cookies; the one that I baked every year. Nestum Cookies; actually I modified the recipe and what I did was to combine 2 different versions. Chocolate Chip Cookies; also another piece that I baked every year. M&M Cookies; it’s my second attempt and I think there’s still room of improvement. Honey Cornflakes; my all time favourite and it’s a must in the household. Koko Krunch; my first try and I got it from my friend, Aisah. Cherry Suji; an old school kuih and to add a bit of fun with the cherry on top. Macaroons; got the recipe from another dear friend, Aishah and it’s my husband favourite. The look and the taste are perfect but I need to practise on the texture.

I reckon this Syawal visiting will be more manageable since the kids are grown up. I love this moment to see families and children wearing the traditional clothes. My family tailored 2 pairs, pink and black and will re wear what we had precisely. Especially looking forward to my 3 boys in songkok and samping!

To all my fellow Muslim friends and readers, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir Dan Batin! Let's forgive and forget and start afresh!
