PARIS DAY 1 - 3
DAY 1
We boarded our national carrier at 2350hrs, our first on A380. Adriana and Aqil were amazingly cooping well on the plane for 12 hours on flight SQ334. They kept themselves occupied watching Red Riding Hood, Enchanted, Monster Inc and Stitch. They ate their dinner, breakfast, sleep and did coloring. Both of them were really on their best behavior. All our worries about them not able to settle down were actually nothing at all.
We reached Charles De Gaulle Airport the next morning at 0600hrs. We hailed a taxi and checked in Ibis Hotel at Montmartre district. Dumped our baggage in the room, we walked to our Blanche Metro which is right besides Moulin Rouge. Rode on and straight to Galeries Lafayette for shopping on the first day! It's good to be back in Paris again and we wasted no time! We headed back to our hotel after our purchases and rested for our next day journey.
DAY 2
We started our day with breakfast in the hotel. A typical Paris spread with different kinds of bread. After that we took the train known as metro and stopped at Charles de Gauelle Etolle station, where Champs de Elysees and Arc de Triomphe are. Champs de Elysees is a prestigious avenue in Paris, like our Orchard Road whereby brand names and luxurious boutiques are located. Exactly where we exit from the metro station was where Arc de Trimphe stood. We bought the tickets and had to climb the swirl staircase. It was way high up and our legs were begging for mercy. Upon reaching, we were breathless and rested for awhile. Kudos to the kids who climbed all the way up on their own. This is the first time we went up and stood at the top as we didn’t have the chance during our honeymoon. It was a breathtaking view; simply spectacular sceneries of Paris.
From Arc de Triomphe, we walked along Champs de Elysees and stopped over at MacDonald’s for lunch. Then we bought 2 days pass of L Open Tour. The bus has 4 different lines of journey and it was hassle free for us to travel around. We dropped off at Notre Dame and this time we didn’t enter due to the long queue. Instead we took photos and shopped for souvenirs along the alley. Hopped on the L Open again and stopped at Galeries Lafayette again before proceeding back.
DAY 3
Early morning, we got onto the L Open and tour around Paris, snapped pictures of the monuments. Before we stepped to Louvre, we took the Ferris wheel and it’s pretty scary as the cabin will swing as well. The time round we didn’t enter Musee Du Louvre because of the queue again. The queue was like went circles but it was alright for me as I managed to capture a photo with Mona Lisa portrait 6 years ago.
Next was the main attraction in Paris. We queue for the entrance of Eiffel Tower about 45 minutes. But it was all worth it when we reached the top. It was one of our significant experience and priceless moment. Before we ended our day, we went to Hard Rock CafĂ© for some shopping. We had the intention to munch over there but decided to takeaway MacDonald’s and hailed a taxi back as we were totally worn out.
