NEW YEAR WEEKEND

The start of 2011 was good. It was such bliss to start the brand new year on a weekend. I woke up early to prepare breakfast, did the laundry, cooked lunch and cleaned the house. I packed home cooked food for the husband and off he went to work. So it’s just me and the kids at home and I had an absolutely great time with them. We had breakfast and watched television together. It was my first try of waffles making and the kids finished them up. While the kids having their nap, I seized the chance for svc marathon. Upon waking up, I fed them lunch and after which we had some bubbling time! They truly enjoyed the moment and were laughing with whole heart. They had oreo and yakult for tea break before their evening bath. Then it was siblings’ bonding time and they played among themselves in the room while I settle my personal stuff. After dinner, I cut their usual kids channel short and we had story telling session. I narrate my own stories and should have captured their expression. Adriana knew that I was making up, Aqil probed me with lots of question, Alhan was so attentive and Aryan couldn’t be bothered. Time past and it’s their bedtime. Off to their bunks and tomorrow was new day for us.

Let's play bubbles!

The next day, the father settled the kids first. They had cereals while watching playhouse Disney channel. The only chores I did were cooking and laundry. The other half yet again brought packed home food to work. The kids were left on their own till their nap time. I managed to make blueberry muffins, a virgin attempt and they love them. They gobbled their lunch and their praises made my day. After their free and easy time and messing the house, I brought them to the field for some ball kicking. I must say Aqil played well and he kicked hard. One thing for sure, the boys love to play ball! When the father returned, the 6 of us had dinner together. I love the atmosphere of us sitting together at the dining table. Later in the night, it was time to send the twins over to my parents’ in law so that I can handle the kiddos on the next 2 days. I can concentrate on their welfare as it's school reopen for Adriana and I have an individual date with them.

Breakfast!
