The date with my boy was great. We had rolling good times. I love the way how we held our hands together. This is my only child who I breastfeed for 6 months. This is the only child who was totally under my care. Sadly my relationship wasn’t that close ever since I was pregnant with the twins. It hurts me so much after all he is my much anticipating baby. He is extremely attached to the father. I fought for his attention but I failed. My heart was broken when he rejected me.
Aqil has shown the terrible two syndromes which at times irritate me. As times, I will pass him to the father when I can’t handle him. When he is nice, he can be really nice. He is a temperamental boy with a soft heart. It’s weird that I do get strangers not once but a couple of times, coming up to me and tell me about him. What they told me about the boy, are totally true. They said he is an intelligent and good boy. He needs our attention and we need to approach him in a gentle manner to calm him down. I cried whenever I heard or recall these comments and felt so guilty for making him an elder brother as such young age. I strive hard to gain his trust and love. I think I’m almost there and we are on good terms now.
On Tuesday, after the sister went to school, we made our way to the bus stop. Just me and my boy. A black and white date with my first son. He smiled cheekily on the bus and I felt I have lots of catching to do with him. I feel over moon as he held my hands throughout our journey. I hugged him, I cuddled him, I tickled him, and I’m so in love with him.
Our first stop is at Emiko Art at Tampines Mall whereby the boy did color and sand art. I let him choose the designs and colors. He almost threw tantrum when I tried to assist him. Somehow he relented and his terrible two syndromes are virtually vanished. From there, we went to Macdonald for lunch. It's the boy's favourite and finished off his meal. Since the boy has been toilet trained, it’s time to top his briefs. We went to Kiddy Palace and grabbed a whole lots of collection! We moved on to Tampines One where he took the rides not once, not twice but thrice. He saw J Co Donuts and requested for some and volunteered to hold it home. Lots of questioned were asked and he kept telling me to take more photos! It was a well spent day with him and loves to see his happy face. I will not stop to make up with my son; he is the one who completes our family. In fact he is the one who light up the house and the apple of my eyes.
