DAUGHTER, MOTHER, WIFE, WOMAN

I’m thankful that the elderly agreed and compromise to be at our house during the weekdays. It wasn’t an easy decision for them since they are used and comfortable to be at their own home. Therefore we have been trying our best to lighten their burden and to help out as much as we can. The reason is because I want to be with my kids as much as possible and I want the siblings to be together as often as possible. I want the kids to enter schools within my premise so that I can supervise their school work. Education nowadays is so much difference than our times therefore I do not want to add another role of the elderly. I want to play a part in my kids growing up stages. I want to conquer the role of disciplining them. Hence, I do not want to strain them out. I truly understand they are not getting any younger and should be enjoying at this age. This plan will only be momentary and hopefully it goes well with the other arrangement come in 2-3 years times, insya allah.

I will be free with the kids on weekdays and public holidays. I will strive to head straight home after work or to finish work on the dot. During the weekdays, I will be rushing home on wednesday till friday as the parents in law having religious classes at night. As for the rest, right after my bath and dinner, I will attend to the kids. I try hard to spend time with each of them and I will make sure the kids will take turn to sleep with me. I will still be doing the cleaning and laundry. We emphasize to the elderly that the kids and their food are the main priorities. Thus they will only take care of the kids and did the cooking. Naturally, who likes to see the house in the mess, who likes to see the pile of laundry and eventually they did everything. I really take my hat off my parents in law of their ability to take care of the 4 kids. My back up plan will be my parents. In case if my in laws were unwell or something happen up, the kids will be sent to my parents’ house. No words can explain my gratitude towards them. They are simply marvelous and I pray for their good health and long life. Insya allah, we will give them our support and a comfort life as much as we can.
