THE MAKING OF AQIL

The feeling of being a first time parents were inestimable. The sentiment of the arrival of our first child and spending the time with her were simply priceless. After a year of spending the time and splurge on her, we thought it’s time for her to have a companion. After much discussion, we decided to suspend the safety measures once Adriana turns a year old. To sum it up, we were ready to plan for baby number 2.

I was hoping to conceive when Adriana was 1.5 years old so that the baby will be born after she turned 2 years old. We gave ourselves a grace period and started to TCC when she was 14 months. It was a perfect timing when the good news arrived. Our house had completed with the renovation and furnishing. My menses was supposed to come on the man’s 30th birthday but I didn’t trigger him because I thought it might be a false alarm. I waited and tested on a cheap pregnancy kit 5 days later. I was elated by the result because this is something that we had looking forward! This is what we wished for!

The man was thrilled and he said it will be a boy. But my thought was it might be girl since coming from all girls’ siblings and based on our history and genes. I guess HE granted the man’s wish and gave a boy to complete the family of 4. We were truly content with the gift from HIM.

The pregnancy was a tribulation. Yet I’m pleased that I had survived and had the ability to bring another baby to the world!
