1st day on 5th January 2009
She was full of beam when wearing her school uniform. In car, she was all excited and couldn’t keep still. I was being paranoid just days before she began her school and the man commented that I was being worried for nothing. I agreed with what he said because judging from Adriana’s reaction, I should be relieved and proud of the respond from her.
We reached her school close to 11am. She salam both of us and I brought her in the compound. Though we were allowed to be around for the first hour, I was confident that she will be fine and decided not to hangout. We were there till 11.30am, witnessing other kids streaming in and some were crying. While killing the time to fetch her back, we brought Aqil to the mall which resulted in some unnecessary spending. We returned at 2pm and when she was released, I asked her how her day was and she answered me with her laughter. When questioned what she did and what she eat, again she started to laugh. I gave up but at least I could see that she enjoyed school very much!
2nd day on 6th January 2009
She wore her pe attire today and couldn’t wait to leave the house. She went to school together with her cousin, Amirah, who is in K2. After I kissed her and without hesitation, she went in.
When the session ended, she looked like an experience kid, reciting the prayers to go home. When I asked her again, what she learnt in school, she just gave me a smile, showing me all teeth. Good luck and enjoy your day in school ahead, my dear daughter. Mummy will be back to work tomorrow, you are on your own now.
